Kerry's Insurance Services ("Kerry's", "we", "us") is a licensed California insurance agency (CA License #0G94431). This policy explains what information we collect when you use kerrysinsurance.com or ask us for a quote, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

We only ask for what we need to quote and place your insurance. Depending on the type of quote, that can include:

• Contact details: your name, phone number, email address and mailing address.
• Driver details: date of birth, marital status, and driver's license or ID number for you and anyone else you add to the quote.
• Vehicle details: year, make, model and VIN.
• Property and business details: the address and details of the home or business you want covered, and your business name.
• Photos you choose to upload: for example a picture of your license or vehicle documents, which we may read automatically to fill in the form for you.
• Technical information: your IP address and basic browser information, which we use to keep the site secure and to stop spam and abuse.

We do not ask for your Social Security number on this website.

How we use your information

• To prepare insurance quotes and compare prices from the insurance companies we work with.
• To contact you about your quote by phone, text message or email.
• To set up, service and renew your policy if you choose to buy one.
• To protect the website, our customers and our business from fraud, spam and misuse.
• To meet our legal and regulatory duties as a licensed insurance agency.

Who we share it with

We share your information only as needed to provide the insurance you asked for:

• Insurance companies we request quotes from or place your policy with.
• Our staff and partners who handle your request, such as the agent working on your quote.
• Service providers that help us run our business, such as website hosting, security, and the messaging and communication tools our agents use to receive and respond to your request. They may only use your information to provide those services to us.
• Government agencies or others when the law requires it, or to protect our rights and the safety of others.

We do not sell your personal information.

Calls and text messages

By giving us your phone number you agree that Kerry's may contact you about your quote and policy by phone or text message. Message and data rates may apply. You can ask us to stop calling or texting you at any time by telling us in a reply or calling our office.

Other companies on our website

Some features on this site are provided by other companies, which may collect information about your visit under their own privacy policies:

• Google reCAPTCHA checks that a real person is filling in our forms. Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.
• Our live chat and call widget lets you chat with or call an agent from the page.
• Google Fonts and Google Maps display our text and our office location.

These companies may collect information about your online activity over time and across different websites. We do not use advertising trackers on this site.

Links to other websites

Our site links to other websites, such as Google Maps and insurance company pages. We do not control those sites, and their own privacy policies apply when you visit them.

Do Not Track

Some browsers can send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no common standard for how websites should respond to it, so our site does not currently change its behavior when it receives one.

How long we keep it

The copy of your quote request stored on our website server is deleted automatically after 7 days. Information that reaches our agency, such as your quote and policy records, is kept for as long as we need it to service your insurance, and for at least five years after each transaction, as California insurance law requires (California Insurance Code section 1729 and California Code of Regulations, Title 10, section 2190.2).

How we protect it

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS) on our website, limit access to the people who need it to do their job, and delete information we no longer need. No method of storing or sending information is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and we will notify you as the law requires if a security incident affects it.

Your choices

You can contact us at any time to:

• ask what personal information we hold about you,
• correct information that is wrong or out of date,
• ask us to delete your information, where the law allows, or
• stop calls, texts or emails from us.

We will respond within 30 business days. When you ask to see your information, we will also tell you who we have shared it with in the past two years. We will not treat you differently for making any of these requests. We may need to confirm your identity before we act on a request.

Children

This website is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date at the top.
